In Ireland, knowledge, and practice of correct food handling procedures according to Food Safety (HACCP) are a legal requirement established by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland - Regulation EC / 852/2004 (FSAI). Thus, the Food Safety Level 1-HACCP training aims to provide the first steps on safe food handling for participants who want to work in any sector that involves products intended for human consumption.
Who this course is aimed at: The course is intended to introduce participants to the importance of hygiene and food safety, being the necessary training to work in restaurants, cafes, pubs, fruit/vegetable packaging or any company in the food industry, carrying out activities such as kitchen assistant, kitchen porter, barista, deli assistant, food counter assistant, etc.
Thus, any employee working in areas that involve transport, storage, handling, and/or marketing of food must receive this training which will provide them with basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety in accordance with the principles of the HACCP System (Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points)
Under the Health, Safety & Welfare at Work Act 2005, employees must receive adequate instructions, information, and training in an appropriate form, manner, and language that is likely to be understood. Our Food Safety Training is delivered in English, as well as in Portuguese and Spanish, following FSAI guidelines.

This course is coordinated by Dr. Alessandra Cordeiro, certified in Management of Food Hygiene Program by The National Hygiene Partnership (NHP) and qualified trainer by IITD (Irish Institute of Training and Development) being responsible for designing, planning, and implementing this online training, including guidance and monitoring the student's progress (Learning Management System).
This online course covers the same content as covered and is delivered on a classroom-based or live-streaming, meeting the requirements of the "Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI)". You will have 21 days of access to the online platform to complete the course.
